Brothers in Arms is making advances with a three-campaign, 16-mission adventure
on Nintendo DS.
The game begins in North Africa toward the beginning of the U.S. involvement in
WWII and continues through the invasion of Normandy in the summer of 1944. The
top screen displays a 3-D view of the battlefield that pushes the envelope for
graphic quality on the DS, offering detailed locations and explosive effects.
The touch screen gives you the ability to switch weapons on the fly and offers
touch-controlled aiming. To throw a grenade, you touch the stylus to a grenade
symbol and swipe upward. The farther you swipe, the longer your toss will be.
You can also use a bazooka to destroy armored targets and a sniper rifle for
spot-on accuracy. Operable vehicles include a jeep and a Sherman tank.
