Blast From The Past
Contra Advance: The Alien Wars EX crams all the nail-biting action of the Super
Nintendo original into the Game Boy Advance. Not content with a straight port,
Konami has included all-new levels specifically designed for this new edition.
Saving The World, Made Easy
For those new to the ways of Contra, players must save the world from the evil
forces of Red Falcon. Fortunately, our intrepid heroes pack serious firepower in
the form of machine guns, spread guns, laser rifles, homing missiles and flame
throwers. They must clear six enormous side-scrolling and overhead levels of
shooting, jumping and climbing.
Each area has its own enormous boss that fills the screen with seemingly endless
bullet sprays and explosions. Only the most hardcore of gamers will be able to
overcome this opposition unscathed.
Call For Back-Up
When the action becomes too tough to handle alone, enlist the aid of a buddy in
the two-player cooperative mode. Two GBAs, a GBA Game Link cable and two Game
Paks are required for multiplayer action.
Visual Appeal
Everything looks as good as you remember with gigantic enemy creatures and
impressive digital pyrotechnics. Just when you think you've seen it all, a
gigantic war plane will fly through the screen and set the area on fire.
