The fast, addictive game play of a puzzle game is mixed with platform elements in Egg Mania for the Game Boy Advance.

In this offbeat twist on the basic Tetris concept, you maneuver an egg creature to catch and place blocks. The object is to build a wall high enough to reach the top of the stage.

Developer Hot Gen Studios has included five game modes and three difficulty levels. Besides the standard Solo, Duel, Time Trial and Survival modes, there is a Bomb mode that puts you and an opponent atop a tall platform. As bombs fall from the sky, you catch and throw them across the screen to destroy your opponent's wall. With fast reflexes you and your rival can toss a bomb back and forth several times like a hot potato before it detonates.

Packed with more eggs than a truck-stop omelet, Egg Mania includes eight egg creatures. Details like Funky's giant afro and the mechanical movements of Robo add flair to each character. Detailed background and nice effects make Egg Mania flashier than your standard puzzler.

Egg Mania takes a big helping of puzzle concepts and a touch of platform action, then scrambles them together into a tasty treat.

Two can play with two GBAs, a GBA Game Link cable and one Game Pak can go head-to-head in Duel or Bomb modes. You can access additional options with multiple Game Paks. Progress is saved to the Game Pak in a single file
