ESPN X-Games Skateboarding trims the fat and presents a bare-bones skating
competition for the skateboarding enthusiast.
Avoiding arcade trappings like power-ups and secret items, ESPN X-Games
Skateboarding takes a highly realistic approach to the sport. Presented from a
side view to highlight the action, you will compete in judged competitions in
real-life locations like Daytona, Florida.
You can choose from eight real-life pro skaters, including Bob Burnquist and
Chad Fernandez, in either Vert or Park mode. Vert mode drops you into a single
half-pipe with a time limit to bust your most impressive tricks. In Park mode,
you have more freedom to choose your ramps. With 42 tricks and an easy-to-use
combo system, ESPN X-Games Skateboarding gives you all the tools to impress the
judges.
ESPN X-Games Skateboarding may be a breath of fresh air for skateboarding
purists, but the simplified design and graphics may seem stale to some. You can
boost the stats of your skaters and save the progress to the Game Pak in a
single save file.
