Face your virtual fears in Fear Factor Unleashed.

It might take a little more than mouthwash to get that maggot taste out of your mouth in Fear Factor Unleashed. You and up to five friends can compete in a series of stunts to see who has the intestinal fortitude to become Fear Factor champion.

The person who finishes worst of all competitors is eliminated from the competition. If you can stay near the top in all five challenges, you'll win the cash and title of Most Fearless Person on Earth.

In each challenge, you must complete the stunt while keeping your fear in check. A fear meter displays at the bottom of the screen. If the indicator goes too far to the left or right, you'll chicken out and lose. Hold the L or R Button to get the indicator back toward the middle. While you're concentrating on that, don't forget to keep your eye on the challenge itself.

To play the game, you need to develop a profile. Within the profile, you get to spend 20 points on Steadiness, Nerve, Stomach and Stamina. How you distribute points will determine how active your fear meter gets in certain challenges. A phobia is also selected at random for you.

If you don't want to play the traditional Fear Factor way, customize the game type among Elimination, Points, Vegas and Nominate. The person who scores the most in each challenge wins Points. Vegas allows you to bet on whether you will complete the stunt or not, and the one with the most money at the end wins. Nominate lets the winner of the challenge pick who gets kicked out.

Multiplayer tracks six different players at once. You'll have to pass around your Game Boy Advance and wait while your fellow phobia-fighters take their turns. It's a great test of your patience factor.
