Baseball marks the coming of summer, and now you can relish the great
American pastime on your Game Boy Advance in High Heat Major League Baseball
2003.
Since last year's offering, developer Mobius has made a few welcome adjustments.
Now, you can steal bases and play head-to-head with a friend using two GBAs, a
GBA Game Link cable and two Game Paks.
Logos and stadiums are fully authentic. Rosters have been updated to reflect
postseason personnel movements.
There are a variety of game modes familiar to any baseball fan. Exhibition
allows you match up two Major League Baseball teams in a single game. Season
mode allows you to play a full or abbreviated schedule with your favorite team,
and Playoffs allows you to jump right into the postseason frenzy. Home Run Derby
and Practice modes give you a chance to perfect your swing.
Each Major League stadium is represented nicely and the sound is crystal clear,
from the crack of the bat to the umpire calls.
The actual interface for pitching and batting is similar to last year's version.
Pitchers each have a realistic repertoire of pitches. You choose a pitch and
location, then let her fly.
Batting is a simple matter of timing. Swing at the right time and you could land
one over the fence.
With improved base running and a multiplayer mode, playing baseball on the Game Boy Advance is better than ever.
