They're brave. They're strong. They're color-coordinated.
The Power Rangers are out to save the world again in Power Rangers: Wild Force
from THQ on the Game Boy Advance.
Master Org and his horde of ancient beasts have come back to life and are out to
destroy the peaceful city of Turtle Cove. Thankfully, Turtle Cove happens to be
home base for five of the most powerful Spandex-clad heroes in the universe.
You and up to three friends can punch, kick and blast your way through over 12
levels inspired by the hit Power Rangers TV show, now in its 10th season.
Multiplayer action requires GBAs and Game Paks for every player and enough GBA
Game Link cables to connect all systems.
Before jumping into the action, you must choose one Ranger as your main
character and up to three Ranger allies. Each Power Ranger has unique attacks
and attributes, making for plenty of variety and replayability.
Battles take place from a three-quarter viewpoint in realistic settings. The
majority of gameplay involves beating up a specific number of Org goons and
moving on to the next area. Rangers can team up to perform crushing dual attacks
on the ornery henchmen.
Once you've cleared a level of baddies, Master Org will send one of his special
monsters out to greet you. Anyone familiar with the TV show probably knows
what's going to happen next. After defeating the boss's regular form, the
monster will be resurrected and grow to skyscraper height.
To combat this seemingly unbeatable super-boss, you and your fellow Power
Rangers must hop into the nearest Megazord. If you fill the power meter, your
Megazord can unleash a ferocious combo attack.
Power Rangers: Wild Force may not win any awards for best visual effects but the
isometric viewpoint makes multiplayer action easy to follow at all times. Gamers
of all ages should have no trouble stomping through this game and even veteran
players will find a challenge on the harder difficulty settings.
Power Rangers: Wild Force offers hours of no-nonsense fun for one to four
players and is sure to please fans of the series.
