Multiplayer action requires GBAs and Game Paks for every player and enough GBA
Game Link cables to connect all systems.
In the Stone Age, man was in a constant fight for survival. Priorities were
to build shelter, fight off predators and collect as many ice-cream cones and
hamburgers as possible. Well, the crazy world of Prehistorik Man may not be
historically accurate but it makes for a zestful side-scrolling adventure.
The first goal is to guide your portly hero through the 23 levels with his skin
intact. It is survival of the fittest as you go up against apes, lions, and
dragons, all bent on removing you from the gene pool. You must also bring a
healthy supply of junk food back to your tribe or get scolded by the grumpy
village elder.
Several inventions will help you on your way such as a lion-skin hang glider and
a raft. These vehicles may be ahead of their time but they serve as a nice break
from the normal running and jumping.
Originally released in 1996 on the Super NES, Prehistorik Man is a tried and
tested platformer. Titus has kept the solid game play and detailed graphics of
the original and it truly stands the test of time.
