The Star Wars Trilogy comes alive on Game Boy Advance. Help Luke discover the
Force as you play through memorable scenes from the movies in Star Wars Trilogy:
Apprentice of the Force.
Unless you've been frozen in carbonite since Gerald Ford was president, you
should be familiar with Star Wars episodes four through six. Farmboy Luke
Skywalker has his world turned upside down when two droids take him on a journey
of self-discovery. In the process, he learns the powers of the Force and the
ways of the Jedi knight. And there's some guy named Darth Vader who has an
interest in Luke.
In this side-scroller, you play as young Skywalker as he journeys toward his
destiny. Each level is based on a scene from the Star Wars Trilogy. Just like
the movies, Luke starts out with his blaster and an empty mind. Soon, you'll
learn to use the lightsaber and his mind will be crammed with the powers of the
Force.
Certain confrontations are given the cinematic treatment. The action pauses as a
letterbox put the action in frame. Once Luke vanquishes all the enemies, the
letterbox frame disappears and Luke continues with his journey.
In some levels, R2D2 joins Luke to help him unlock doors and discover hidden
items. Like Luke, R2D2 is susceptible to injury. Recharge R2's juice often or
your little buddy's demise will force you to start the level over. Apprentice of
the Force mixes things up by putting Luke in the cockpit of an X-Wing and the
Millennium Falcon or behind the controls of a speeder in the Endor forest. The
challenges stay fresh as Luke's powers grow stronger. You can also unlock bonus
media.
